Since 2001 the public authority runs different application systems on basis of HP server technology as well in the HP-UX-environment as also in the Intel-field. Staff of on line Datensysteme GmbH is regularly consulting the institution since 2003. After many years of reliable use a change to new hardware solutions became necessary. The client has been convinced of the advantages of a blade-based solution with a central SAN-storage. Old systems have been replaced by new servers on basis of HP Blade-technology. All data were transferred into a common used storage system. Data backup has been realised by using a tape library and a new backup-software. The operating applications are now running under a virtualized environment (VMware). |
